Recreation Centers provide a refuge for at-risk youth, space for families to play together, greater community engagement and low cost or no cost entertainment for all residents, eliminating economic barriers. It also bridges between diverse groups and ethnicities, bringing together all walks of life.

Maintaining the newly expanded Recreation Center is key to further developing and growing our community and building a sense of public pride amongst our residents. Quality amenities, such as a renovated and expanded Recreation Center, are vital to North Platte's future, not only by adding economic activity, but also by enhancing the quality of life and improving the morale and health of residents. Upkeep and facility improvements in the future are costly, and we want to provide a fund to keep the Recreation Center relevant, safe, cost effective and attractive.

Recreation Center Renovation and Improvement Fund is administered by Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation and provides funding support for renovations and improvements at the North Platte Recreation Center to keep it safe, up-to-date and meeting needs of the North Platte area.
