North Platte Trails Network Fund

The North Platte Trails Network is dedicated to developing an expansive trail network and fostering an active outdoor lifestyle through community and volunteer engagement. This fund is administered by Mid Nebraska Community Foundation .

NPT believes in providing accessible and scenic spaces for walking, running, biking, and other outdoor activities, enhancing the quality of life for all. We're excited to announce that we are wrapping up the environmental renovation and extension around Iron Horse Lake! This transformative project, which will significantly improve the lake's surrounding area, is nearing the construction phase with completion planned for Fall 2025/Spring 2026. While we're thrilled with the progress, we're still working hard to secure the final funding . Every contribution, big or small, will help us cross the finish line. Looking ahead, NPT has several other important projects in the pipeline that require fundraising support. This includes a major undertaking to tear out and refinish the deteriorated concrete on the Centennial Park Trail, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience for trail users. We rely on the generosity of our community to continue our mission and create even more beautiful and functional trails for North Platte.
