$15,000 Goal

The North Platte Public Library (NPPL) Foundation is dedicated to promoting the interest and welfare of the library as a cultural, educational and recreational asset to the community. Giving Day donations to the NPPL Foundation Fund may be used for immediate support or improvements at the North Platte Public Library. This fund is administered by Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.

The North Platte Public Library Foundation was an initial supporter and continues to champion the Creation Station (makerspace) at the North Platte Public Library. The Creation Station was dedicated with temporary grant equipment in September 2018. In August 2019, the Creation Station re-opened after 8 months of fundraising and equipment installation.

Our 2026 Giving Day goal is to replace the heavily used laser engraving equipment in the Creation Station.

We also desire to bring back some form of the infamous cemetery tour event in the fall of 2026.

If you are interested in supporting the fundraising efforts and goals of the NPPL Foundation by becoming a board member and/or event volunteer, please contact Shelly Deardoff, Library Director, at 308-535-8036 x3321.

Checkout the media gallery for our 2025 Year in Review video. Each year we try to convey statistics and share a few of the memories from events at North Platte Public Library. Enjoy!
