North Platte Legion Baseball Fund

To instill in the nation's youth a sincere desire to develop within themselves a feeling of citizenship, sportsmanship, loyalty and team spirit. This fund is administered by Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.

With an alumni base that includes more than half of current Major League Baseball players, American Legion Baseball is one of the most prominent and tradition-rich athletic leagues in existence. Each year, youth people, ages 13-19, participate. Since its inception in 1925, the league has had millions of players, including countless who have gone to play in college and professional baseball, with 81 inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
