The Connection is the only program currently providing emergency shelter and transitional housing for homeless households west of Kearney. The foundation of our programming includes the provision of basic necessities including food, clothing and self-care needs, and case management services designed to help increase the stability and self-sufficiency of those we serve. Case management is strength-based and resident guided being propelled forward through motivational interviewing, action planning, and assessing each household's unique needs. In additional to services such as education, skill-building, and referral services for our residents The Connection also provides three meals a day, clothing vouchers, and emergency food baskets for our in need community members.

In recognizing the desperate need for affordable housing in the community The Connection is working on a multi-phase development for permanent supportive housing. Currently in process are 40 units for those with moderate- and low-income, and a Tiny Homes for Veterans village. Each of these units will serve households earning under 80% AMI and will include on-site services to help tenants maintain their housing.
