Rape Domestic Abuse Program of North Platte

About this Organization

As RDAP is experiencing significant funding cuts, we ask for your assistance in supporting our victims and our shelters so we can continue to provide safe housing for those that we serve. As our community continues to grow, so do the number of victims seeking shelter from an unsafe situation.

In 2024 we sheltered 134 individuals. These numbers included 86 women, 6 men and 42 children for a total of 4579 bed nights. At this time, we have 5 shelter locations and also utilize hotels/motels to meet the needs of each victim we serve.

As the cost of housing continues to rise and the availability of affordable housing is at an all-time low. Due to lack of safe affordable housing we are experiencing longer stays at shelter to help ensure that they will be sustainable once they leave us.

This is an uncertain time but with your help, there is hope when you donate to RDAP during the North Platte Giving Day campaign. Your gift helps us keep our doors open and our lights on for survivors who have experienced domestic and sexual violence. Even a small contribution goes a long way and we are so grateful for your generosity during this difficult time.
