Paws-itive Partners Humane Society

We are a dedicated non-profit organization that aims to improve the lives of pets. Our primary mission is to make spaying & neutering available to pets in lower income homes. Altering your pets is the most effective & humane way to stop pet overpopulation and suffering of animals. We do this through our programs: Get 'Em Fixed, Love My Cat, & Be Responsi-Bull.

We co-own and run the North Platte Pet Food Pantry, which distributes more than 100,000 lbs of food every year to hungry pets.

We support pets when they unexpectedly lose their home through our foster care program while they wait for their perfect furever family.

Our newest program,  Urgent Short-term Pet Care, works with medical facilities when an owner suddenly becomes hospitalized or is moved into a rehabilitation facility. We do this by doing in-home or out-of-home care.

We also help community cats that don't have homes by spaying or neutering and returning them to where they were trapped.

We've supported our local Animal Shelter when we made improvements to the facility that included an outdoor meet and greet area, a cat room with cat condominiums, indoor/outdoor kennels and an isolation room for the dogs. We also get referrals from them to assist new owners with the cost of spaying and neutering their newest family member.

We have not only helped the dogs and cats in Lincoln County, but have also helped guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes, birds, and other animals. 

Paws-itivePartners members work hard and are all volunteers. We hold monthly meetings, support each other and communicate effectively with one another. Most of what we do takes place outside of the meetings.
